We are a special interest group that is a part of ACM@UIUC. We are located in the Siebel Center for Computer Science, and you can find ACM at room 1104. Our SIG is focused on promoting and teaching mobile app development. However, this does not mean that we do not explore other fields of Computer Science. Mobile apps are simply a medium of showing information, and in larger applications, they still require other fields of expertise, such as backend development and UI/UX design.
We meet every Tuesday from 5pm to 6pm in room 1302 of Thomas M. Siebel Center for Computer Science.

In 2020, as we were looking at the scope and future of mobile development, we found that multi-platform frameworks would have a massive impact on the community. In order to promote the idea of "Single Codebase", we decided to focus on Flutter and its capabilities to create fast, intuitive, and extremely customizable apps. Additionally, we decided to use Firebase as the backend and hosting for most of our apps due to it's perfect integration with Flutter.
